Well I am back and posting some pics of projects that I have done over the past months. How has my craft evolved over time? I'm glad you asked! I have a love of washi tape! I find little ways to use it on all KINDS of projects! Also I have started using spray inks and mists and these are SO much fun along with lots of FUN doilies! They add a great element of color/pop to the page. I'm not just making cards and 12 x 12 layouts, but now I'm doing altered/distressed projects such as Tags, mini books and the like. I have had a lot of fun with these things. I'm LOVING ALL the new Close To MY Heart paper collections and I also love Bo Bunny and Websters Pages oh, I can't forget Echo Park. These are higher quality papers and the thickness is just right. As I post pics of different projects I've done you will notice MANY CTMH collections such as: "Footloose, Dotty for you, Dakota, Roxie" and others. I have also used quite a bit of EP's "Sweet day" paper pack. So without further adieu here are some of my fave recent projects.

It's been a LONG time!

I need to start documenting my crafty-ness again. It's been too long since I've shared my projects. I have been having so much fun with altered projects, cards, and Minis! Also, WASHI TAPE has become my NEW best friend!! LOL...I love mini-books and really enjoy the freedom of working with these little gems. I will be posting pics over the next few days of some of the projects I'm most proud of. Below is a layout I did of my daughter's baptism, using a doily on the page and some washi tape in the corner.

Bookmark cute-ness

So a friend of my came by with a bunch of crafty stuff she's not using anymore. (Thanks, Becky) and in that bag were little cardstock bookmarks in white, green and pink!! YAY. Something to do while Anna is home sick. So we made TONS of them, and I just now had to FORCE myself to stop the insanity and clean up the mess (as well as the rest of the house...lol) Here are pics of most of the bookmarks. Let me know what you think and if you have any ideas!!

Some new cards I've made

Some friends of mine are having an anniversary and another friend just got ENGAGED!! (SO happy for him) And I got creative and made some cards. Oh, and there's a thank you card for a friend who watched our kids. Hope you like 'em.....

Beware the dangers of scrapbooking.

If you are not sure that you can handle the physical dangers and risks of the craft, don't do it!! Please be careful and weigh out the risks. I didn't and now here I sit INJURED from my beloved craft. "How?" You ask....Good question. Today I was sweeping up the floor after making a mess during some late night scrapbooking session I was holding last night. I was sweeping barefoot, mind you. (mistake #1) Anyway while sweeping, I felt a sharp pain in my right heel, but thought I'd continue sweeping and see what the pain was later. (mistake #2) One more step down and .....OUCH!! I dropped the broom and looked at the bottom of my foot. It was beautifully decorate with an adorable mint-green flower-shaped BRAD! Yes BOTH prongs went deep into my heel and the brad lay flat against my skin. Again....OUCH!!! I jerked it out and the throbbing began. No blood, mind you, and now the pain has subsided, but I just thought it funny that the least dangerous of hobbies has caused me an injury......gee, wonder what would happen if I went bungee jumping!!
